The Only Place I Want To Be Is With You

I’ve got so many places I’ve yet to be,

The mountains, the hills, the valleys,

Even the sight of a swaying palm tree,

Or a cacti knocked to half-mast by a dust-ridden breeze,

Get another bucket for my lists,

Give me another life,

I need more time to chase bliss.

A map of the world,

Seductive and nude,

No scars of darts,

I got to feel it up soon,

Kiss it by its lips,

But I also want to tear it to pieces.

Because what is the world if it isn’t with you?

What is the sky if the clouds don’t remind me of you?

What are the trees of they are swaying to the chorus of your voice?

What is a map if it forces me into a choice….

I don’t want to make….

The only place I want to be is with you.

The other places they are ridden of spark,

Avalanches of opinions suffocate me into dark,

I’m just a rock in a catastrophe,

I’m just a hand at war with one measly crease.

But you are the light that swallows the tunnel,

Builds an entirely new path,

One that paves with light,

Allows me to tear apart every map.

So….

What is the world if it isn’t with you?

What is the sky if the clouds don’t remind me of you?

What are the trees of they are swaying to the chorus of your voice?

What is a map if it forces me into a choice….

I don’t want to make….

The only place I want to be is with you.
